Overview

HTMLDrop("we", "us") operates htmldrop.in and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account data — email address, GitHub profile (if you sign in with GitHub), and account settings.
  • Hosted content — HTML, Markdown, page titles, slugs, version history, and optional page settings (password hashes, expiry dates).
  • Usage data — page analytics (views, referrers) when enabled, API request logs, and basic product telemetry needed to operate the service.
  • Guest publishes — anonymous pages are stored temporarily with a claim token so you can transfer them after sign-up.

How we use information

  • Provide hosting, editing, publishing, and account features
  • Authenticate users and enforce plan limits
  • Detect abuse, spam, and policy violations
  • Respond to support requests and abuse reports
  • Improve reliability and security of the platform

We do not sell your personal information.

Hosted page visibility

Pages you publish are accessible to anyone with the URL unless you enable password protection. Treat shared links as public. Do not publish credentials, private keys, or personal data you are not authorized to share.

Retention

Anonymous guest pages expire after 24 hours and are deleted. Signed-in pages are retained until you delete them or close your account, subject to backup and legal retention requirements.

Abuse reports and security logs may be kept longer where needed for enforcement or legal compliance.

Service providers

We use trusted third parties to run HTMLDrop, including:

  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery
  • Supabase — database, authentication, and storage
  • Lemon Squeezy — billing (when enabled)

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.

Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication sessions, password-unlock tokens on protected pages, and editor preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Contact us to make a request. You can delete pages from your dashboard at any time.

Children

HTMLDrop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
