Allowed workflows, prohibited content, enforcement, and how to report violations.

This policy defines what may be hosted on HTMLDrop. It supplements our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use marketing page.

Allowed uses

HTMLDrop is built for legitimate sharing workflows:

  • Prototypes, demos, and internal mocks for async review
  • AI-generated HTML or Markdown previews
  • Client-facing concept links before production deploy
  • Educational exercises, hackathon submissions, portfolios
  • Email template previews and marketing one-pagers
  • Documentation and README-style Markdown pages

Prohibited content

Do not publish:

  • Phishing or credential-harvesting pages
  • Malware, exploit kits, or crypto drainers
  • Illegal content or material violating applicable law
  • Spam or bulk unsolicited promotion
  • Copyright or trademark violations
  • Harassment, doxing, or abusive material
  • Attempts to bypass moderation, rate limits, or security controls

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all content you publish
  • Do not upload API keys, passwords, or unauthorized personal data
  • Shared links are public unless password-protected
  • Guest pages expire after 24 hours — sign in to keep content under your account

Enforcement

We use automated publish-time filters and manual review of reports. We may:

  • Remove pages or revoke URLs
  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Block related identifiers (IP ranges, API keys)
  • Report illegal activity to authorities

Enforcement may occur with or without notice.

Reporting

See something wrong?

  1. Use the Report link on any hosted page, or
  2. Submit details at /report with the page slug and reason

We prioritize phishing and malware reports.

Appeals

If you believe content was removed in error, contact us via /contact with the page slug and context.
