What is HTMLDrop?

Instant HTML and Markdown hosting. Paste in the editor, hit Drop It, share a link — no Git repo or build pipeline required. Start with Getting started.

Do I need an account?

No. Guest drops work without sign-in. Create a free account for permanent pages, custom slugs, and dashboard features. See Guest vs account.

How fast is publish?

Most drops go live in under three seconds after you click Drop It.

Formats

Does JavaScript work?

Yes — client-side JS runs in the visitor's browser. Server-side code does not. Details in HTML hosting.

Can I host Markdown?

Yes. Markdown compiles to styled HTML on publish. See Markdown hosting.

Accounts & limits

How long do guest pages last?

24 hours, then automatic deletion. Claim before expiry to keep the page.

Is it free?

Yes during early access — all features, no credit card. See Plans & limits.

Publishing

Can I edit after publishing?

Yes — reopen from the dashboard or /drop/[slug] while signed in. Each publish creates a version.

Can I pick my own URL slug?

Signed-in users can choose custom /p/your-name slugs. Guests get random slugs.

Trust & safety

What content is banned?

Phishing, malware, illegal material, and abuse. Full policy: Acceptable use.

How do I report a page?

Use /report or the Report link on hosted pages.
